The Obama Tax Hikes May Be Unfair To Millionaires

Everybody knows that the United States owes a lot of money to the Chinese.

President Barack Obama’s plan is to raise that money without having to cut spending by increasing taxes on millionaires and other super-wealthy Americans.

This seems like a fine idea at first, especially to those of us in Preble, who are regular everyday hardworking people and wouldn’t be affected by the taxes at all. But at the same time, is it possible that we’re giving millionaires the “short end of the stick”?

I think the tax hikes are completely unfair. Just off the top of my head, I can name countless millionaires who are helping to make our country great every day (Bill Gates, George Clooney, and Andy Dalton, to list just a few). It’s not their fault that they’re wealthy! And if Bill O’Reilly is right, raising taxes on millionaires could drive rich people right out of the county.

President Obama is a very talented man who I respect as a person. I know he is working very hard at his job leading the United States. But as the proud Rector of the Eaton Baptist Church, I think it’s high time we applied the Golden Rule to this situation.

How would you feel if the government came along and took half of your money? If you wouldn’t like it done to you, how can you justify doing it to wealthy people?

Do you think the Obama tax hikes are unfair to the rich? Let us know in the comments.
