I’ve Been Thinking About Cats Again

I love how the Internet brings people together. Just yesterday, I saw a video from the “online dating service” http://www.E-HARMONY.com in which a very nice, articulate young lady shares her enjoyment of felines with the whole world.

The really incredible thing about the video is just how much this young woman loves cats. She loves cats so much that she even starts crying every time she thinks about them!

Seeing that video reminded me of my own two wonderful kitty critters, Pally and Izzie. Boy have they been in some shenanigans lately.

Izzie is a big brassy calico cat with an attitude. Ever since I got him from my Aunt Lil, he’s acted like the whole house is his own “Private Idaho”.

Pally, on the other hand, is a scruffy little fellow I picked up from a shelter several years ago. I’ve actually had him for longer than I’ve had Izzie, but you wouldn’t know it from the way Izzie carries on around him.

Sometimes I think the house just isn’t big enough for the two of them. Cats are very territorial creatures. It would be one thing if they could each take half of the house, but try explaining that to a couple kitties! They just look at you like you’re crazy.

Lately Pally has been pushed into just two spots in the house: the downstairs den, and the upstairs bathroom. No idea how he gets between them! But he’s been showing an independent streak lately: every time Izzie so much as pokes his nose in that upstairs bathroom, Pally pounces. Yeesh. Can’t we refer this to the “Kitty United Nations”?

Look, they’re at it again. Time to send in the peacekeepers (spray-bottle)!!!

Until next time, cat-lovers!

Have something to say about it?
